The first SpyEye variant, called SPITMO, was recorded to attack Android mobile phones. The threat posed by DroidOS/SPITMO has escalated the danger of SpyEye now that this malicious software has been able to shift its delivery and infection methods.

Some fraud prevention tips for your mobile phone:

Dont do online banking on a public Wi-Fi connection

Dont save id verification passwords to applications that holds private information

Dont click on a link unless you are sure you know where it is going to take you

Even if you know the person who sent you a link, if it looks fishy, dont click it

Install mobile phone updates on a regular basis
