Malicious International Worm

Fraud prevention is never-ending. In a blog we just posted,
we talked about how Koobface
abandoned Facebook. However, there is a new worm that is targeting Brazilian
Facebook users through Facebook chat. And since EVS has many international
clients, we want to make you aware of this so you can take personal fraud prevention measures.

The worm (md5
d8dd66f2ec659687c56feb31ae1ac692) is sent through a chat message which
contains a link. If the user clicks on the link, their computer then downloads
a malicious applet download. The download contains several files, but this is
also where the worm is download. The worm is then responsible for stealing the
users Facebook passwords.

The worm is also capable of sending malicious messages
through GTalk/Orkut and Twitter.
